Project Description
Zithere is an electro-acoustic 12 stringed instrument.
Each string is augmented with a controllable "E-Bow" sustainer circuit.
Zithere is the first of a series of new musical interfaces that explore the following themes:
- Using electronics to generate acoustic sound
- Address new modes of instrumentation and performance
- Exploring new and emergent sounds and collaborations afforded by the instrument
